Invitation to Tender – Stage Zero river restoration project, Coventry

Warwickshire Wildlife Trust are seeking to appoint a contractor to carry out a Stage Zero river restoration project on the North Brook at Coundon Wedge local wildlife site in Coventry. This is part of the wider Sherbourne Valley Project (check out the website to find out about the project).

The work:

Work and sequencing

1.    Excavate area downstream of the paleochannel

2.    Excavate area upstream of the paleochannel

3.    Block the current channel directly downstream of the upstream lowering area

4.    Block the ditch to the east of the wetland area if practical to do so

5.    Place a small number of the trees removed for access into the wetland area

Maximum fee

£21,000 (any quote above this will need to be justified in the cost break down)

Brief issued - Friday 21 April
Deadline for submission of quotes / tenders - 9am on Friday 26 May 2023
Appointment of contractor - Friday 2 June 2023
On-site inception meeting - w/c 12 June (TBC upon appointment)
Completion of work - End of September 2023
